Day 1 Amboseli

Morning arrival in to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. You will be met by our representatives

at the airport and, leaving Nairobi behind, drive south to Selenkay Conservation Area (a 4 hour journey). The Selenkay Conservancy, in the Amboseli eco-system, is an important wildlife dispersal area and rangeland for wildlife moving out of Amboseli National park. The National Park is famous for its elephants and spectacular views of Kilimanjaro; when the clouds reveal their secret. You will arrive at Amboseli Porini Camp in time for lunch. Following afternoon tea, you will be escorted on a walk by Maasai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Return to camp for a shower, dinner and overnight.

Overnight: Amboseli Porini Camp – This small and intimate camp is design on the lines of a traditional luxury safari camp but offers many more comforts than was originally available to pioneering safari goers of earlier years! The camp has 9 spacious guest tents, comfortably furnished and with en suite bathrooms including shower, wash basin and flush toilet. Tents have solar-powered electric lighting. All transport on this safari is in a specially designed open-sided Landrover 4 wheel drive safari vehicle

 

Days 2 Amboseli

Awake to the dawn chorus of birds and after an early breakfast, drive through the bush on a private track

into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing and seeing elephants close up! Following a picnic lunch in the park, you will return to camp in the late afternoon. In the evening you will go on a game drive in Selenkay Conservancy, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, caracals, bat-eared foxes, African wild cats, and other species. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 3 Nakuru

Enjoy a short early morning game drive and then after breakfast, drive to Mbweha Camp in the Congreve Conservancy, with lunch en route in Nairobi. Afternoon escorted walk in Congreve Conservancy. This area is ideal area for guided bush walks where you can walk in safety among the local plains game.

spectacular vastness of The Great Rift Valley on a private 6,400 acre Congreve Conservancy. Mbweha Camp is nestled up against the southern border of Lake Nakuru National Park with beautiful views of the Eburu and Mau Ranges. It has 10 cottages built of lava stone and thatched makuti roof add glamour and style to its contemporary African ambience. Every cottage is surrounded by Candelabra Euphorbia, yellow barked Acacia and other indigenous trees that provide a relaxed atmosphere as you listen to the African night sounds of a lion roar or the laughter of the hyena in the distance

 

Day 4 Nakuru

Today you have a full day in Lake Nakuru Park with picnic lunch, returning to Mbweha in the afternoon

. In Nakuru you can see large flocks of flamingos and have an excellent chance of seeing rhino and leopard. Night game drive in Congreve, hoping to see the spotted cats! (Leopard and Serval). Sundowners or bush breakfast and hot air ballooning over the spectacular Great Rift Valley and the lakes below are additional activities that you can enjoy and enhance your stay in truly remarkable and authentic African setting. Day 5 Masai Mara

After breakfast, drive to Nairobi with lunch at Carnivore Restaurant and then transfer for a 14:45hrs

flight to the Maasai Mara. Met upon arrival and transfer to the Mara Porini Camp. Afternoon game drive in the private Ol Kinyei Conservancy. Sundowner, night game drive before dinner and overnight Mara Porini Camp. The Mara Porini Camp has recently been set up in the exclusive wildlife conservancy of Ol Kinyei, one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the Serengeti-Mara eco-system. The Masai Mara is famous for its big cats and the annual migration of vast herds of wildebeest and zebra.

Accommodation: Mara Porini Camp This camp has 6 guest tents sited in the shade of Yellow-barked Acacia trees along the banks of the Laetoli, a permanent spring within Ol Kinyei. The tents are spacious and each has an en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and safari shower. The camp offers the experience of real camping in the bush in an exclusive private wilderness but with all the comforts required by discerning travellers. Food is excellent with home baked bread, fresh salads and high quality meals prepared by the camp Chef

 

Day 6 Masai Mara

A full day to appreciate all that this wonderful area has to offer with game drives in search of the resident

plains game, predators and a host of other wildlife. The Mara is Kenya’s most famous wildlife reserve, excellent for lion and cheetah. After an early breakfast, drive into Masai Mara Game Reserve, for a full morning of game viewing on the lookout for the Big Five! Following a picnic lunch in the park, return to camp in afternoon. In the evening you will go on a game drive in Ol Kinyei Conservancy, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals. Return to camp for dinner and overnight. There is also the option of a Balloon Safari and Champange Breakfast in the Mara, please ask for more details (cost not included).

 

Day 7 Departure

Enjoy one last morning game drive before lunch and then transfer to airstrip for a 15.45hrs flight to Nairobi, arriving before approximately 17.00 in time to catch a late evening flight home.
